Aurelie De SmetCo-organisation of a design competition for recently graduated architects, landscape designers, and interior architects in the context of the fair ‘Inside Out 2018’.
In a context where the legislation was (and is) lagging behind Inside Out wanted to encourage young professionals (active for a maximum of 5 years) to participate in the public debate on cohousing by providing a creative, innovative, and refreshing proposal for the proposed competition site.
Moreover, as a platform, Inside Out also wanted to contribute to the abolition of the boundaries between the various design disciplines. Therefore, participants were encouraged to provide an answer for the complete project site: inside and the out… as both are equally important for the success of co-living projects!
The competition and prize-giving b2b event were organised in collaboration with Easyfairs, Samenhuizen vzw, Kenniscentrum Tuin+ (Erasmus Hogeschool Brussel), KASK (HoGent), the Order of Architects and Kubiekeruimte vzw.
